Nikita was in Florida for medical school with men being the furthest thing from her mind; with school work, volunteering and family obligations her life was fairly crazy without having to juggle another commitment. But her friend mentioned she found the perfect guy for Nikita and wanted to introduce them; Nikita blew it off thinking it wasn’t a good time and simply thanked her friend.
Yet her friend knew that they would be perfect together and without letting either of them know; she set them up on a pseudo blind date; with friends around Joe and Nikita met for the first time on July 4th at a picnic. Since their first meeting Joe knew that Nikita was going to be his future wife. Her beauty coupled with her love for family, honesty and humor made her the perfect woman for Joe.
It took him a little convincing at first, but over time Nikita got to know Joe for the incredible man he was; his ability to make everyone instantly fall in love with him, his humor and ability to take care of Nikita better than any other man in the world short of her father. He was there for her throughout the ups and downs of medical school and stood by her proudly as she graduated. She loved him more than she could imagine, and they two became inseparable.
Their Washington DC Interfaith Wedding was the perfect mix of two cultures and two families; Nikita and Joe embraced each other’s past and their future together by celebrating with two ceremonies at the George Washington Masonic Museum; a Hindu ceremony in the grand hall preceded by a baraat where Joe danced to bollywood music, bhangra and hip-hop with his family, groomsmen, guests and soon to be new family. After the Indian Wedding Joe and Nikita walked up the steps of the Museum to celebrate their love in a traditional Christian Ceremony with sweet words and happy tears they committed their love for each other once again.
Nikita and joe it was an absolute pleasure capturing your epic wedding; we love the two of you and can’t wait to celebrate in the years to come.
