She is a dentist providing under privileged children in Baltimore subsidized dental care. He is a GI physician at John Hopkins helping to create and write the guidelines for GI care. Together they are an amazing power couple whose resumes don’t do their hearts justice. They are down to earth, loving and honest. Their love and affection touch all those around them and their humor and wit set people at ease.
Steph met Amol on a whim when Steph’s cousin forced her to set up a Match.com account. Steph didn’t think much of it and simply set it up to make her cousin happy but had no expectations of an online dating site helping her find the man of her dreams. Then a funny thing happened; she kinda, sorta, maybe started talking to the very first guy who messaged her and went on a date with the very first guy she met on match named Amol. He was funny, caring, intelligent and checked every box that Steph wanted plus so many more she didn’t even know were important to her until meeting Amol. After that first date Steph knew she met someone special in every single way; and to Amol she was exactly what he was looking for – radiant, loving, caring, sweet and special. After that first date; the rest was history.
Their three-day wedding kicked off with a traditional mehndi at Amol’s parents’ home where both families sang songs, had their mehndi done, danced, ate and laughed the night away. To Steph and Amol the wedding weekend was more about family than anything else; they wanted to immerse both side, both families to both of their cultures, the people they loved and the things that made them the happiest. The very next night they had a traditional Sangeet event filled with dances from both families that had the crowd on their feet for most of the night, special surprise performances by both the Bride and Groom and a night filled with family and fun. Steph and Amol spent most of the night thanking their friends and family for making the trip, celebrating their special weekend and showing the couple with love and adoration. They enjoyed living the wedding from their guest’s eyes and ensured everyone had an amazing time.
Their wedding day was perfect; as Steph and Amol got ready at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel with views of Federal Hill and Downtown Baltimore they simply soaked in the day. Steph chose to get ready with her bridesmaids and family as they all reminisced stories of Steph and Amol’s courtship, Steph as a little girl and her propensity to always seek out the best in life. Amol was a few flights below getting ready with his parents and enamored with the love and adoration in his parents’ eyes. They had a traditional Hindu ceremony preceded by a Baraat with both families dancing, laughing and enjoying the cultural aspects that make Hindu Weddings so unique. After the late afternoon Hindu ceremony there was a cocktail hour followed by a beautiful reception that reminded people just how special Steph and Amol were. With heart felt speeches by family friends and even the Bride and Groom. That was followed by a reception that kept everyone partying the night away.
Amol and Steph – it was an absolute pleasure and honor to capture such an amazing wedding but more so people. Thank you for being so amazing and touching the lives of so many.
