They met by accident; a fluke that some would call destiny. Kamal was headed to Baltimore to visit family when a friend of his asked if he would be kind enough to drop him to Philadelphia. Since Philly was on his way he agreed; as they drove down to Philly Kamal’s friend told him about a birthday party he was going to that evening and invited Kamal to come along. Although he was reluctant and wanted to get back home to hang out with family he agreed knowing he could always leave early and drive down to Baltimore. Yet when Kamal arrived to the bar called “Time” he never wanted to leave as he met Anita – another party goer and the two of them instantly hit it off.
Kamal impressed Anita with his amazing dance moves, his love for Indian Music and the way he can make anyone laugh. Kamal was instantly attracted to Anita’s infectious smile, her desire to take care of others and her ability to light up a room. They spent the entire night only speaking to each other, engrossed in conversation, enamored by each others stories and confident that this new found friendship was far more than simply that. As the night progressed Kamal knew that Anita was far to special to simply get her number or exchange social media handles or try to get in touch with later. Before he left that night he had a brunch date for the very next morning.
Brunch was no different than the night before, they became inseparable, engrossed in each others conversations, enamored by their new friendship and excited for their adventures together. As they ate and talked and laughed – Anita mentioned that she had never been to New York City. By the time the check came Kamal planned out the next eight hours of their lives as he took Anita to New York City spontaneously and gave her the best tour of the city ever. Stopping generously to eat, drink, laugh and have fun together, side by side and soon inseparable.
Over the years their love for spontaneous adventures, laughing uncontrollably and falling deeper and deeper in love has not stopped and has simply grown stronger. Their two Day South Indian Wedding took place at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Downtown Buffalo with a Sangeet at the Acqua. Their weekend was filled with friends and family traveling from all corners of the earth to celebrate their love, heart felt speeches talking about their kindred spirits and their insatiable desire to help everyone and of course to celebrate a once in a lifetime kind of love.
