Surya and Prithvi are a fabulous couple! They met while attending the University of Maryland. Prithvi knew there was something special about Surya from the moment he saw her. Her intellect, grace and beauty drew him in but it was her sweet bubbly personality that sealed the deal. Prithvi worked up enough courage to ask Surya on a date and she said yes! A few dates later and the two were inseparable. To anyone who knew them in college and in the years after it was always Prithvi and Surya. They were always together, where there was one there was the other.
Surya and Prithvi’s beautiful Engagement ceremony took place at the Sri Siva Vishnu Temple in Lanham, Maryland which included a very traditional South Indian ceremony, prayer and beautiful lunch. Surya began the festivities in a beautiful navy and gold silk sari. She wore traditional jewelry and delicate jasmine flowers adorned her hair. She looked stunning. Her second sari, given to her by Prithvi’s family, was a lovely green and gold. The festivities continued, they were both draped in beautiful yellow and red rose garlands and additional prayers and words of wisdom were shared.
They were both glowing, smiling from ear to ear, and giddy with joy. It was official, Prithvi and Surya were engaged!
