When we began discussing possible locations for Sarah and Michel’s engagement session, Washington DC kept coming up. After all, no other city in the United States can offer such grand monuments and historic locations. We started the session early in the morning to avoid the summer heat at the World War II Memorial. Sarah looked stunning in her summer dress, designer glasses and high heels. Mike was beaming with a beautiful sweater and khaki pants; after all it was finally time to celebrate their wedding festivities with a formal photo session (less than 7 months to go!). Sarah and Michel were playful and loving as they gently kissed, cracked jokes, made cat calls and posed for the camera. We continued to make our rounds around the city including stopping at the World War II Memorial, the Washington Monument and random buildings along the way. Mike kept the mood lively by making up historical facts while passing buildings (or was that me?) cracking jokes, making cat calls, talking smack about the redskins (Who beat the Eagles?) and sharing stories about Sarah.
Sarah and Mike are die-hard Eagles fans. After a few McNabb jokes and friendly football wagers Sarah and Mike changed into Eagles jerseys and we continued our DC session. Sarah and mike are extremely serious about their bathroom art (aren’t we all?) and wanted to capture a few photographs of them in the Washington DC Metro to frame and hang in their bathroom. So of course we obliged! One of the most unique shots we were able to capture was actually in the underground Smithsonian metro station on the Washington Mall. We were lucky enough to get some fun photos of Sarah and Michel as a metro train was passing!
Sarah and Michel we had an absolute blast photographing your Engagement Session and we cannot wait until your amazing wedding next year!!
