It was a dark and stormy evening, and chance almost made it that they didn’t meet. Amit was dodging traffic, driving down from Bethlehem, PA. Sheetal was braving the metro, and had a long perilous commute from Crystal City, VA. Luckily, they both held up the bargain and showed up to a trendy and cozy restaurant in Washington, DC.
They shared a few laughs, enough to decide that they both had a great time, and decided to meet up for brunch the next day in Foggy Bottom. A “quick” brunch turned into a full day affair, and they talked for over five hours; long enough to assuredly annoy the waiter at the table. Things took off from there, and Sheetal and Amit couldn’t get enough of each other.
There were many bus trips, taxi rides, delayed planes, and even snowstorms, none of which could keep them apart, despite nature’s best efforts. Their infatuation with each other, the ability to make the other laugh and the swirling feeling that “this is perfect” kept them holding hands and walking through the path of life.
A few years later they were engaged and ready to be married. The day was beautiful, perfect weather, family and friends abound and a love and a ceremony that made everyone tear up. They smiled, laughed and promised to love each other forever as they rounded the sacred fire and took their vows.
Sheetal and Amit, we wish you both a life filled with love, laughter and happily ever after. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your wonderful wedding day.
