We had the honor of photographing and filming Sunny and Nadira’s fabulous wedding weekend. From their mendhi and sangeet to the Hindu wedding ceremony and reception, the entire weekend was heartfelt, festive and masterfully planned and coordinated by Sumeet from Dream Shaadi.
You’ll see from their highlight reel that Sunny and Nadira know how to take charge of the dancefloor. Their choreographed dance was so upbeat they nearly had the whole room on their feet ready to take on the dancefloor. Their guests laughed, danced and enjoyed all the delicious food and were read for the next day- the ceremony and reception.
We started off Nadira and Sunny’s wedding day by capturing both of their getting ready details on via film and photography. Once the couple was ready we took them to the National Mall for their first look. A first look is a moment few hours before the ceremony where bride and groom see each other for the first time on the wedding day. Sunny and Nadira’s picturesque first look was held in D.C. with the Washington Monument as the backdrop.
Nadira looked elegant in a red and gold wedding lengha that was from the famous Bollywood Bridal in New York. Her overall color pallet for her entire wedding weekend was classic and timeless. Sunny was eager to see his soon to be bride he was filled with a nervous excitement that continued to build as we got closer to the National Mall. When he finally saw her he couldn’t keep his eyes off her.
We followed Nadira and Sunny’s first look with some glamourous couples photos at the Lincoln Memorial. The Lincoln is our favorite D.C. landmark. It lends for a stunning backdrop for unique and iconic images.
During the weekend, there were a few things that we constantly heard from family and friends and we felt the same. Sunny’s friends describe him as a loving, caring and compassionate individual that is a great role model for his siblings. Nadira’s family recalls her days as a bouncing baby girl and gleefully brags about each one of her accomplishments into adulthood. They are kind as individuals but as a union they are simply perfect. Always looking out for the well-being of others before their own and wanting the best for all those around them. Nadira and Sunny, your wedding weekend brought so much joy to your family and friends. It was a pleasure filming and photographing your wedding and we look forward growing our new found friendship.
