They met casually, on-line, in person and throughout New York City. Gunita stood up Harpreet the first time they were supposed to meet. As they talked about meeting up again Harpreet half joked that if she stood him up again he wouldn’t ever talked to her again. She quickly quipped back that it would be the biggest mistake of his life; he was glad they went on that second date; and a third one and many many after. He knew she was different and looked forward to getting to know her better.
Gunita and Harpreet met outside of the bar in New York City and what was supposed to be a quick bite and some quirky banter turned into a lifelong commitment of love, kindness, and fun. Gunita and Harpreet are having a big fat Indian wedding later this year spanning 6 days, three states and a lifetime of memories.
Gunita and Harpreet wanted to do their engagement session in Washington DC; among the monuments, the cherry blossoms and in each others arms. We started the session at the Jefferson Memorial before dawn; it was perfect as there were minimal tourists, amazing light and the beautiful location all to ourselves. From the Jefferson we headed down Ohio drive to get some portraits with the Cherry Blossoms and then over to the Lincoln Memorial where we ended the session.
We were lucky enough to get to the Jefferson Memorial before sunrise to beat out the tourists, running clubs and on-lookers to get about five minutes of photographs at the Jefferson Memorial all alone.
For Gunita and Harpreets Jefferson Memorial Engagement Session we were able to not only take advantage of the front of the building but we were also able to sneak in a few pictures of the dome from the back as well.
The coolest beard ever meets the coolest rock ever. If you look closely within Gunita’s nail polish you can see the Cherry Blossom Trees we were standing next to.
