Williamsburg, VA Interfaith Hindu and Sikh Wedding at Kingmill Resort

Manpreet and Kaartik’s williamsburg VA Indian Wedding was a gorgeous event that fused two beautiful cultures together in one epic weekend celebration in Williamsburg VA that we had the pleaure of providing photography and cinematography services for. On the Friday night before their wedding, Manpreet and Kaartik held a Sangeet where the bride and groom’s families came together for an evening of music and dance. Both Manpreet and Kaartik joined surprise dances to show off their dancing skills and make their significant other overjoyed with emotion. The following day started with couples portraits at Colonial Williamsburg – WHICH WERE EPIC – followed by a Sikh ceremony that flowed into a Hindu ceremony and ending with a reception that brought everyone together for one epic night of celebration filled with amazing music, fireworks as the couple cut their cake and a stunning grand exit. 

Although the weekend was hampered with a hurricane watch – with downpours throughout the weekend – there were a few pockets of calm that we took full advantage of to capture the epic and stunning portraits of Manpreet and Kaartik. The morning of the wedding began with photos at Colonial Williamsburg – a preserved 18th century colony – where Manpreet and Kaartik took stunning photographs throughout the property and among the historic buildings. 

The highlight of the weekend was the couples’ enthusiastic love for each other and dance. On Friday night during the Sangeet which is an Indian tradition which brings both sides of the family together to celebrate through song and dance. Everyone had such an amazing time on the dance floor that it felt like being transported to another world. The atmosphere was truly electric as Manpreet and Kaartik were surrounded by all their friends and family who had come from all over the world to join in their joyous celebration.  

The last event of their wedding weekend was the reception at Kingmill Resort in Williamsburg, VA. Here, everyone came together to enjoy some delicious food, drinks, and lots more dancing! The couple surprised all their guests with an epic cake cutting as they cut their cake Fireworks exploded overhead. They ended off their beautiful day with an unforgettable LED light grand exit where friends and family littered the road and the couple snuck through to their chariot to end the night.
