Kyle proposed to Pooja in Napa Valley at a vineyard. After she said yes, the two decided to purchase a bottle of wine to commemorate their engagement. They opened that bottle on their wedding day and shared a special toast with family and friends.
How can love be reduced to words? How can three years of life, love, and growing together be reduced to a few paragraphs? It can’t. But at least we can try to set forth an outline, an overview of the journey of Kyle and Pooja.
Pooja and Kyle met in 2011 at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Pooja was in her second year of school and Kyle had just started his first year. Kyle thought Pooja was beautiful and funny, but Pooja had no idea Kyle existed. During a fateful school trip toLas Vegas, Kyle finally had enough courage to approach Pooja, and they hit it off. With his 100-watt smile, Kyle immediately swept Poojaoff her feet, and they were inseparable. They shared a love for cooking, capitalism, and vanity (and having fun!).
Upon graduation Pooja took a job in Chicago to be with Kyle, and a year later he moved out to Los Angeles to start his post-MBA career. Their love was stronger than the long-distance and hours – they supported each other through the long cross-country flights, job searches, and finally decided to settle in Chicago.
We are so excited to finally be together in Chicago, and to build a fantastic life filled with family, friends, and cheese. We are looking forward to seeing everyone in June, and we hope our wedding is a reflection of how much fun we have together. Let Loose! Or in Punjabi, “kaho piyo aish karo!” (eat drink and have fun!)
