Vinu knew Tina would be out to lunch with her high school friends; lunches that frequently turn into six hour conversations about everything under the sun. Lunches that frequently turned into dinners; which if no one has a watch can get them escorted out of the restaurant at midnight when the restaurant closes. They were high school friends that were thick as thieves when they saw each other. The perfects accomplices to Vinu’s master plan.
While Tina was at lunch Vinu went to her apartment and with the help of Tina’s Roommate began to decorate the apartment – the location he planned to propose. Vinu purchased sixty red helium balloons on which he tied a different picture commemorating a date or moment during their courtship over the past four years. He sprinkled red rose petals in the shapes of hearts all over the floor, he lit candles and simply waited.
Minutes later Tina walked into her apartment and as reality of the moment set in; Tina’s knees began to wobble, she began to giggle incessantly and simply fell into the arms of her soon to be fiancé. She smiled, and as the tears kept rolling she shouted “YES” at the top of her lungs.
Tina and Vinu’s Washington DC Engagement Session took place at the Tidal Basin on the outskirts of the Jefferson Memorial and then followed by pictures on the National Mall overlooking the Smithsonian Museums.
