It wasn’t a marriage between two people; it was a union between two families. So much in fact that Harp’s sister was actually the one who introduced him to the beautiful, outgoing, funny and bodacious woman he fell madly in love with.
Simren was caught slightly off guard when Harp’s sister told her about this tall, handsome, intelligent man that she just HAD to meet. She was intrigued and what started as a casual introduction became love at first conversation as they spoke over the phone, flirted, laughed and spoke as if they were long lost friends. Their first meeting was an 8 hour drive away as Harp came down to see Simren, a drive that he says was the best decision of his life.
Over the next year they fell in love, became each other’s best friends and realized that life together was the greatest gift of all.
Simren and Harp got married at the stunning Sheraton Premiere as Harp’s uncles and father performed the Washignton DC Sikh Ceremony; they laughed, smiled and cried tears of joy and their love unionized in front of friends and family. After which they danced the night away with amazing music, heartfelt speeches and a fairytale ending that just starts their magical ride as husband and wife.
