Every now and then you get to step out of your comfort zone and do something just a little bit different and slightly crazy. You get to experience life through someone elses eyes; see their vision, their passion and execute.
About three weeks ago I was blessed with the opportunity to second shoot for a good friend and excellent photographer Laurie Braswell. Every year I try to second shoot for other photographers in the industry that I admire atleast once or twice a year, it gives me the opportunity to see how they approach the wedding day, interact with their clients, plan out the wedding day and create beautiful pictures.
Furthermore it gives me an opportunity to see how others shoot the day; using natural light vs. strobes, posed vs unposed pictures, timelines, use of macro lenses, video lights and hundreds of other nuances that make images unique and special. It allowed me the opportunity to see how others work and apply that to our own photography to get more dynamic images, new tricks and better ways to connect to our clients.
And because a post is always better with pictures…
