“Once in a while, Right in the middle of an ordinary life, Love gives us a fairytale”
Nearly two years ago he asked me a question that would change my life forever. A top the Rialto Bridge in Venice, Italy I wept tears of joy as I excitedly jumped up and down in happiness. He asked me to spend the rest of our lives together as man and wife. The next year and a half was a blur as I rushed to finish grad school classes, work full time and plan the wedding of our dreams. He stood next to me through it all, helping me with homework assignments when I was just too tired to even sit up straight, visiting vendors and even helping to pick out decor.
We were surrounded by the people we love and that helped make our wedding day one of the best days of our lives. One of the most vivid memories I had was from the morning of our wedding. The day prior had been a late night of celebrating our sangeet. By the time we made it to the hotel, changed and showered it was well past 2am. I was dreading the 6am arrival of my makeup artist but knowing that we were on a tight schedule I sucked it up and welcomed the few hours of sleep I would get. At 6am sharp the doorbell of my hotel suite rang, but to my surprise it wasn’t my makeup artist standing at the door, it was my soon to be husband. He didn’t have to be awake for hours, so of course I was a bit worried seeing him standing at my door. If anyone knows Sunny, they know that he’s by far got the kindest heart in the world. He always puts others needs and priorities before his own, which is why he does so well in the wedding industry. There Sunny was standing at my hotel door with the sweetest smile on his face and a bottle of champagne in hand, ready to celebrate. He wanted to be the first one to see me on our wedding day, the first to hug me, the first to celebrate with me, the first to get excited with.
We celebrated for 10 mintues before my makeup artist arrived and he had to leave the room, but by far those 10 minutes were the best of the day. It reminded me of all the reasons why I wanted to marry this man and why he was simply perfect for me.
The last six months have been amongst the greatest I can remember. Happy 6 month wedding anniversary my love. I am so blessed to have you in my life.
