It was one of those picture perfect Kodak moments when Kodak was still a company. Samina and her bridesmaids were all in one room getting ready. Multiple curlers, irons, mirrors scattered the floor and every possible surface within the room; with all the clutter the one constant was love. They all reminisced about growing up together, being there for each other and loving each other unconditionally for the last twenty plus years. Their smiles and personalities meshed perfectly – their love, friendship and togetherness could be felt but never replicated by an outsider.
As Samina had blush artfully applied to her cheeks she let out a subtle smile that all her girls could understand without uttering a syllable. Samina was happy to be marrying her best friend, business partner and the man that simply completes her – Artin the one outsider who made it into the inner circle by loving Samina unconditionally.
Artin made Samina laugh like very few could do, he challenged her both intellectually and physically forcing her to play Frisbee and soccer with him when they had downtime and joining her to open their very own acupuncture wellness center.
Their Persian Influenced Muslim Wedding had all the onlookers smiling and laughing with pure excitement of having Samina wed Artin.
