We met this fantastic couple the morning after Rohit’s 30th birthday. For this birthday; Priya contacted all of Rohit’s childhood and college friends from all over the country to come to Washington DC and celebrate his birthday. Ecstatically they all agreed to come and celebrate with a man who touched them all on such a personal level. Priya spent weeks sneaking around and perfecting his birthday from over 300 miles away, making sure all of his childhood friends could come, finding the perfect venue to celebrate his 30th birthday and ensuring Rohit didn’t know a thing. Pretty hard to do when your significant other is a lawyer. This simple act of kindness exemplified them both; kindred love.
It is impossible to have a conversation over the phone or in person with Rohit without him making everyone around him feel as if they have known him their entire lives. He makes everyone laugh, connects with everyone on a personal level and simply makes people genuinely smile. Priya is his perfect match; she has a beautiful heart always looking out for others, she treats family and friends like gold and has a smile that lights up the room. They are the perfect pair with that perfect type of love.
Rohit’s home was abuzz with everyone setting up the house for the arrival of Priya and her family. Rohit and Ranju were feverishly running around ensuring that every detail was perfect and the Puja Room was immaculate. The engagement weekend started off with a puja at Rohit’s house as family and friends brought gifts, sweets and food to celebrate the union of these two beautiful people.
The very next day was the fabulous engagement party filled with family, friends, good food and great drinks. After a few speeches from family Rohit once again got down on one knee and asked Priya to be his wife. Her gushing smile filled the room with love and they danced the night away with flying confetti, dollar bills and a whole lot of love. The perfect engagement for this beautiful couple.
