Prathyusha and Arjun met over two years ago at a wedding; their eyes met at the reception, flirted a little, danced a little and went their separate ways. Prathyuisha thought Arjun was charming, funny and good looking. Arjun thought she was beautiful, kind and loving. After a chance encounter a few weeks later the spark between these two beautiful people when they both lived in New York City (their NYC Engagement Session) reignited and they began talking over the phone, then grabbing food together and finally dating.
the central theme around Prathyusha and Arjuns wedding was family and religion. They kept their family close to them throughout the wedding, from Prathyusha’s mother and sisters helping her get ready to Arjuns Grandmother being a central focal point in the wedding. Throughout the wedding it seemed that their purpose on the day of their wedding was to ensure everyone else was happy. Their joy resonated from the love and good feelings of others.
As the day began, Prathyusha got ready in her room with her barathnatyam teacher assisting her into traditional South Indian wedding attire with her sister and mother enjoying the quality time; Arjun on the other hand was down at the pool enjoying some time throwing around the football and hanging out with his friends and family. They both had their traditions getting ready and they both could not wait for the ceremony to begin.
Their traditional South Indian wedding had fused Telugu and Western traditions infused to make the wedding unique, beautiful and completely their own. They had the rice ceremony, played games, exchanged rings and simply laughed and enjoyed every moment of their special wedding ceremony.
The reception was filled with beautiful speeches, great dances from friends and a special guest DJ. The reception encapsulated their love for family and friends as they decided to forgo the traditional head table and sat with their parents and siblings. The siblings and fathers gave heartwarming speeches and the night concluded with everyone dancing to some great DJ’s including special guest DJ Funk Master Flex.
