He’s “busy” he replies. He’s never too busy for me. Not even when he’s got a three day wedding to photograph and a backlog of two to edit, he’s never too busy. He seems distracted, he mumbles a “yeah okay” to my endless questions and rushes off the phone. What in the world is going on I wonder. Why the sudden change in behavior? Was it something I did, something I said?
And then as I walk in the house and hear the T.V. blaring it hits me. The sound of whistles blowing, basketballs bouncing and the crowd roaring. He’s not angry with me at all! It’s that time of the year. To him, the absolute best time of the year, the NBA Playoffs. And this year it’s especially sweet. It’s the first time since 2001 that his beloved New York Knicks made it to the playoffs. A new era fresh with hope and anticipation with their new star player Carmelo!
So ladies, as our men spend the next few weeks totally engrossed with the playoff games, what will you be doing? Taking advantage of your new free time by shopping up a storm at the mall, going out the girls or perhaps some spring cleaning? I for one will be doing a bit of everything and plan on finally learning what “goal tending” means!
