Seven years they dated; seven years they held each others hand, Kina talked about her day, her dreams of the perfect china cabinet and her love for the perfect pair of shoes. Tony would simultaneously talk about Redskins football, basketball and anything sports; yet through their discombobulated conversations that always kept them laughing a love blossomed.
So it was only fitting that their first date was at Champs Restaurant and Bar; a sports themed restaurant with more TV’s than beers on tap and always a game of some sort on. They spent three hours at their booth without a moment of silence; they instantly clicked and from that moment onward they have never left the others side.
They are perfect for each other down to a T; from the way they always know what the other is thinking to the way Kina always holds Tonys hand which instantly makes him smile; usually a subtle smile that Kina turns into a ear to ear grin with a witty comment or simply smiling right back at him.
After seven years of dating the wedding that Kina had longed for was finally here. Their wedding was a fusion of two cultures; with both a Christian and Hindu Ceremony followed by an all out party of a reception.
The morning of their wedding Kina got ready in a beautiful suite; smiling from ear to ear and enjoying the pampering of someone else getting her ready; she loved the fact that she had three dresses to wear with perfect shoes for each outfit. She loved the concept of FINALLY marrying her boyfriend for seven years.
Tony was forty five minutes away at the church fully dressed and smiling; the cold weather was his excuse for goosebumps but my suspicion was that he was completely happy to be marring the woman he loved by his old pastor from his childhood in a simply stunning church. The ceremony was short, yet moving with a happy couple loving the first of two weddings.
The Hindu ceremony took place at the Westin with a stunning Mandap, a beautiful floral entrance and crystal lined centerpieces that were nothing short of stunning. The ceremony was stunning with meaning behind every detail, from her brother walking her down to isle, to the flowers used and songs played.
After a fantastic ceremony; the beautiful couple changed for a stunning reception with thoughtful speeches, dinner and dancing. Everyone had an absolutely amazing time as they danced all night long.
