Nikhil contacted us months ago wanting to recreate part of their relationship and documented through an engagement session with locations that were sentimental to Chitrali and him. He wanted to incorporate the Cherry Blossoms a time of the year he knew his fiancé loved, a time where they use to walk hand in hand enjoying the trees but more so each others company. He also wanted to incorporate the location where he got down on one knee and proposed to his beautiful soon to be wife; the Lincoln Memorial – a location they still love to visit for that nostalgic feeling of yesterday.
We began the photo shoot well before the sun rose and even at that hour Chitrali and Nikhil love cascaded over everything else as they were hand in hand, holding each other, smiling and excited. We started the shoot at the Tidal Basin getting beautiful photographs of the two of them walking through alcoves of cherry blossom trees and in front of the Jefferson. From there we headed to the Lincoln Memorial; the place where Nikhil proposed to Chitrali. As we walked up towards the Lincoln, Chitrali’s smile crept larger and larger as she reminisced about how Nikhil proposed. Nikhil and Chitrali were absolute models posing all over the Lincoln Memorial getting gorgeous pictures through the monument and even at the exact location where Nikhil popped the question.
