Their love story began as friends at college studying the same major at Cornell University. Their freshman year they lived on the same floor, had some of the same mutual friends and did their Chemistry and Math homework together from time to time. Their study sessions were interspersed with bad puns, children’s movies and board games.
Sophomore year they had almost all the same classes together since both of their majors were the same, Chemical Engineering. They bonded over Disney movies (Lilo and Stich is their favorite with Moana coming in a strong second), board games and silly puns. Their friendship blossomed and they became even closer.
After they both graduated and went on their separate ways did their relationship take the next step. One weekend they both came back to Cornell for Slope Day where they picked up their friendships they both desperately missed and started dating.
Through their cross-country relationship, they be fell deeper in love over phone calls that lasted into the night, virtual board games with spreadsheets of who won and weekend hiking trips.
This past weekend, Apurva and Chis were lucky enough to get married to the same person twice in one day as they had both Catholic and Hindu Ceremonies.
Their morning began while they both got ready at the Sheraton Premiere Tysons Corner ; after which we headed to Bon Air Rose Park in Arlington for their first look. They laughed, made funny faces at each other, channeled their inner child and simply had fun as they enjoyed their time together. After the first look we headed to St. James Catholic Church for a hearty felt and moving service that married these beautiful souls. Next we headed back to the Sheraton Premiere in Tysons Corner for the Baraat. Chris, his family, his groomsmen and all of their guests had an absolutely amazing time dancing within the baraat. Embracing the culture and enjoying the music. Next we headed inside for the Hindu Ceremony followed by the Reception.
