Randeep just moved back to the Washington DC area from California. Dolly was in her own midst of moving – transferring cities back to the DC area. Their first date started innocently enough at a Mexican restaurant, they talked about their lives, their ambitions, their future goals, they told story after story keeping each other entertained and amused; before they knew it – the restaurant was closing and they were the last ones there. Their “let’s get a quick drink” date turned into a six hour date that they both weren’t ready to leave from.
After their first date; Randeep had planned one epic date after another. And not the typical let’s go to a fancy dinner type dates, but dates that spoke to the both of them, got them out of their comfort zone and really allowed them to get to know each other. For National Kite Day – Randeep bought an epic kite and he and Dolly put it together, flew it, laughed about it and enjoyed every moment of their first of many kite dates. That day, they spent pretty much the whole day together and learned a lot about each other; it was the day they both knew that the other was extremely special and the one they wanted to get to know better.
That evening after a full day of kite flying – on their way to dinner – Randeep handed their kite, the one they built together and flew for just a few hours to a family with three young boys who were ecstatic and grateful to have a kite to fly.
It was this small action; the ability to make those around him – those he knows and those he doesn’t – happy. He is constantly thinking of others, helping those around him and enjoying life to the fullest. It was this moment that Dolly knew she had met the man she was going to marry.
Dolly and Randeeps wedding weekend was filled with family, friends, good times and great laughs. Their wedding weekend included a Haldi/Mehndhi Party, a Choora Ceremony, a Sangeet in addition to the Baraat, Ceremony, Dholi and Reception.
It was an absolute pleasure capturing your wedding memories and I hope you love your photographs and films as much as we do.
