National Harbor Engagement Session of Priya and Rohit

Priya was freezing; a December engagement session on the water at sunrise. She thought Rohit was slightly crazy; especially for planning it the morning after his 30^th birthday where they were obligated to stay out all night with friends they haven’t seen in over a decade. Like everything they do though; there was a smile on their faces and Rohit kept Priya laughing, smiling and holding on to him. Priya won Rohit over with her quick wit, fun personality and the ability to keep Rohit on his toes. Priya was wearing a beautiful green netted Sari with matching jewelry that made her look stunning. Rohit was decked out in a fantastic suit with a hand picked tie by his beautiful fiance.

Their relationship started with e-mails, long distance phone calls and then on a whim Rohit boarded an American Airlines flight and crossed the country to see a beautiful girl he was infatuated with. Not knowing anything about Indiana; Priya led the way to Rohit’s delight. Their first date consisted of Priya picking up Rohit; taking him to one of her favorite restaurants and spending the night laughing, talking and simply starting to fall in love. A year and a half later Rohit proposed on the banks of the Boston Harbor starting the next chapter in their lives.

We took Rohit and Priya to the National Harbor in Washington DC and then we headed off to Georgetown to get some beautiful images with gorgeous backdrops of brownstones and vintage stores.

6 years. That is how long it will be before Kina and Tony finally get married. 6 years of dating; 6 years of laughing together, crying together and simply being together. Six years of wine tasting, couch surfing, job hunting, house purchasing and life side by side. Within those six years these two have seen everything about each other and know they have found their soul mates.

Kina and Tony met during a Navratri garba, they talked, flirted and laughed togehter at the end of the night they went their separate ways. However Tony knew in his heart that there was a spark between them and he wanted to see Kina again. He knew there was something more than a new friend and started to pursued her. Tony would come up with elaborate reasons to talk to her, randomly bump into her and finally ask her out.

As the weeks went on she finally accepted and their first date was at CHAMPS, the conversation flowed smoothly as they spent hours just talking, laughing and enjoying each others company. As the night ended Tony asked Kina out again, she shyly smiled, accepted and thus began their beautiful relationship.

Kina and Tony will be getting married in less than a month and we cannot wait for the festivities to begin!

Washington DC Engagement Shoot of Sonal and Roshan in Dupont Circle

Over the past two months we’ve had torrential downpours, heat waves and massive hysteria; it seems that every time we planned Sonal and Roshan’s engagement session something had to go wrong. But finally on the third reschedule we were able to take these two beautiful people to Dupont circle for a memorable and exciting engagement session! Filled with Sonal and Roshan dancing on the streets, almost getting arrested and of course Dupont Circle.

Sonal and Roshan met through mutual friends; Roshan’s cousin and Sonals good friend. At first, neither of them wanted to meet the other; they looked for every excuse in the book not the meet including “I have to blow dry my hair (Roshan)”,”I need to watch my neighbors fish” and my personal favorite ” I have to check the freshness dates on my dairy products.” But as time wore on; they met and once they met; they instantly hit it off; they were laughing, joking and having the times of their lives. Roshan has always had an innate ability to make Sonal laugh and Sonal always keeps Roshan on his toes wanting to try new and exciting things. A whirl wind relationship had Roshan asking Sonal to marry him only a short year later.

The wedding of these two love birds is about a month away and here are a few of our favorite images from their engagement session. Enjoy!
