A Destination Indian Wedding Celebration at Wild Dunes Resort Indian Wedding of Sonum and Romik near Charleston, SC

Sonum and Romik celebrated the start of their new life together with a Wild Dunes Resort Indian Wedding near Charleston, SC. Enjoy a glimpse into the beautiful two day Indian Wedding that took place at the Wild Dunes Beach Resort in Isle of Palms, SC. Their destination wedding was filled with stunning photography and films!

The two day celebration began with two separate Haldi’s on the morning of the Sangeet. The haldi is when turmeric is placed on the bride and groom respectively and separately to provide them glowing skin for the wedding day. Although the tradition is a little outdated the event still holds today with families making it their own. Sonum and Romik kicked it up a notch by running into the ocean after the Haldi to create a unique memory for themselves and their families.

Next we took the couple to the Pier on Isle of Palms to get some unique and storied couples portraits before the sangeet – we were able to sneak them out for about 30 minutes where Sonum and Romik laughed, joked, poked fun at each other and just enjoyed their time as a couple before their nuptials the very next day.

After the couples portraits we got ready for their Hollywood meets Bollywood themed Sangeet. They had epicly choreographed and practiced performances with both Sonum and Romik taking center stage for multiple performances. Romik showed off his love for Karate with an exhibition of skill from him and his friends as they broke wooden boards and highlighted some of their most acrobatic Karate moves. They ended the night partying into the early morning mixing bollywood music with hip-hop and EDM.

The next day began with a Baraat procession on the beach where family and friends welcomed Romik to their ceremony location. There were hundreds of bewildered hotel guests who stopped to watch the procession and a few even tried to jump in to enjoy the music and dance with wedding guests.

The ceremony kicked off in a romantic candle lit ceremony where Sonum and Romik walked around the fire to signify their marriage to each other and celebrate their love.

After the ceremony, guests were treated to an unforgettable reception filled with heartfelt speeches, choreographed dances and music that kept everyone on the dance floor all night long.

The photos from Sonum and Romik’s wedding are gorgeous reminders of what it felt like to be part of their special day. Two days of epic adventures around South Carolina from Haldi’s ending on the beach, couples portraits under the stars and early morning sunrises. Each image is filled with emotion that helps tell the story of this magical occasion. From vibrant hues to subtle pastels, every element of this Indian wedding was truly memorable.
