After over a year of preparation and planning, 12 page itineraries sent to every family member and two days of simply amazing events. Meera was ready for her day in shining lights, the day she has been planning since she was a little girl; the day she finally marries her best friend, her fiancé and her confidant.
Rupen was at home, ready and dressed by 6AM simply waiting, waiting for the Grah Shanti to begin, waiting to get to the Hershey Lodge, waiting for the moment he would see his future wife. He was simply excited, giddy and ready to call Meera his wife.
Across town Meera took her time and soaked in the entire process, she enjoyed getting up late, being pampered; having her hair and make-up done. She loved every moment reminiscing over their dates, his cute nicknames for her and how Rupen finally proposed. As Meera put on her jewelry, her shoes and beautiful sari the smile on her face never faded. Her parents, cousins and friends all came into her room gasping at her beauty and the glow that consumed her.
Once these two beautiful people were ready we set off to take a few couples pictures, we were able to do a first look directly outside of the hotel. Meera’s smile seemed to get larger and larger as she approached Rupen, how was excited to see his future wife. After the tears of happiness subsided and these two were unable to hold anything but each other we were able to use the beautiful grounds of the Hershey Lodge to take some stunning images of these two gorgeous people.
The Baarat started with Rupen sitting promptly in a Rolls Royce, in less than five minutes he joined the procession and was dancing up a storm. His groomsmen, uncles and friends were loud, boisterous and having a wonderful time. As the procession came to an end and the milini puja began, Rupen’s playful side came out as he pulled out a clown nose to entertain the crowd and priest.
As the ceremony began Meera and Rupen never lost eye contact, this was the moment they had waited for and a moment they would cherish for a lifetime. The best friend pendants were ready to be replaced with wedding rings signifying a lifetime together, hand in hand; BBF’s for life.
The reception brought out the playful side of Meera, Rupen and their guests as friends and family attacked the candy tables, desert stations and the dance floor. The dance floor was filled with family and friends the entire evening, with funny sunglasses, hair pieces and flags. Their guests simply danced the night away as Rupen held on to Meera; his best friend, his wife and soul mate.
Meera and Rupen it was an absolute honor to photograph your three day wedding. We love the two of you and wish you both all the love and happiness in the world.
