Sheeba and Geoffrey | Washington DC Monument Engagement Session

On the day Sheeba and Geoff came to drop off the deposit I could tell this couple would be fun. Sheeba had her lawyer game face on, culling through every line of the contract, dictating law and analyzing. Geoff like all men, was making fun of his fiance and trying to figure out what was keeping her so serious and entertained. As Sheeba worked, studied and calculated; Geoff made jokes, his sarcasm was fresh and witty and the two playfully fought as all couples in love do.

Our engagement session was no different, the two joked, laughed and truly kept me entertained. As usual, Sheeba looked stunning with a beautiful dress, eloquent makeup and her hair looked fantastic. Geoff wasn’t too shabby himself with khaki pants and a nice sweater. Although the autumn breeze was in full strength these two were absolute troopers in the cold autumn morning breeze, though Geoff, being the proper gentleman kept her warm in his tight embrace (awww…how cute!).

We love conducting our Engagement Sessions at locations that are meaningful and hold significance to our couples. To Sheeba and Geoff, Washington D.C. holds great importance. We began our morning at the National Arboretum. The grand sculptures in the background sure made for some luxurious pictures that will match the theme of their upcoming nuptials. After sauntering around the Arboretum’s reflecting pool, we made our way to the Supreme Court and the Library of Congress. The rich history behind the Library of Congress and the personal connection our couple had here brought goosebumps to my arms.

We had such a blast shooting around the city we decided to extend our shoot to one more location, the Capital building! While security was incredibly tight we were lucky enough to be able to get close enough to take some beautiful images!
